Speaker Nunez and Senator Perata on Health Care

California Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez (D-Los Angeles) and California Senate President pro Tem Don Perata (D-Oakland) announced on June 21, 2007 that their near-universal health care proposals, Assembly Bill 8 and Senate Bill 48 respectively, have been merged into a revised Assembly Bill 8. Following the announcement and an explanation of some changes to the language of the bills, the two fielded questions from the media. Scruggs Katrina Group Files RICO Charges Against State Farm

Segment 2 of June 20, 2007 press conference in Pascagoula, MS annoucing federal charges against State Farm, E.A. Renfroe Company, and Forensic Analysis and Engineering Company on behalf of 21 policyholders whose homes were destroyed in Hurricane Katrina. The suit has been filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi under the federal Racketeer Influenced Corrupt Organization Act ("RICO").
