A Dangerous Summer

Howard Anderson, (Tom Skerritt), a restless American motivated by money, arrives in Australia to build a holiday resort. Unknown to him, his partner intends to burn down the resort, using the summer bush fires as a cover for the intricate insurance fraud. When Anderson becomes suspicious he calls George Engels (James Mason), a Lloyds of London Investigator. As they begin to unravel the deadly scheme, their own lives are in danger as they are confronted by a deranged arsonist, and a murderer that will stop at nothing to collect the insurance money.
