Reliever Lance Carter got three outs in the ninth forthe save at Kyocera Dome in Osaka.Nippon Ham right-hander Satoru Kanemura (0-1) took the loss,snapping a 15-game winning streak against Orix. Fernando Seguignolopened the scoring with a two-run blast in the fourth, but GregLaRocca retorted in the bottom half with a two-run drive of his own.
