More than 127,000 Texas children could be added to the Children's Health Insurance Program in the next two years under an expansion plan that received final approval from the Legislature on Sunday. The measure now goes to Gov. Rick Perry.
"I'm elated for the children," said state Rep. Sylvester Turner , D-Houston, the bill's author. "Many of them have been waiting, and most have been waiting too long."
