Back Pain-Where is the pain?

As a kid, when it rained, my grandfather used to have me put buckets over the areas where the roof leaked. I was to leave the buckets in place until his trusted person came to fix the roof. I have always used the same analogy in regard to chronic back pain. The pain is not where it seems to be.
