The End of an Era...

... life isn't about the destination - but instead about the journey! Thank god, because I keep finding myself in a pickle.

After 2 major motor vehicle accidents in 2002, I required extensive medical care & eventually surgery. The bills were mounting & no one was paying them. The the different insurance agencies were fighting over who'd have to pony up the cash. BUT, I NEEDED surgery NOW. So, I filed bankruptcy to get the debt off of my credit (where it didn't belong in the first place - I had very little outstanding personal debt) & allowing me to have the surgery & medical care I needed.

My bankruptcy took an extraordinary amount of time to settle - given that I had no assets left to argue over. Up for grabs was the car in this video that I held the title to (free & clear) & my insurance settlement money. In the end, the trustee of the court determined that the car belonged to my creditors to pay whatever could be paid back & pretty much all of my insurance money went to the attorneys, the state health insurance, & the trustee.

Well, I did get this swell video of the nice man taking away the very last thing I had owned & with it went a huge degree of personal freedom (for now).

Watch - it's entertaining (to me at least). He & I talked for a good hour about the whole thing & life in general. He was a good guy doing a tough job.

So, without further ado - here's me saying goodbye to my baby - in what I call: The end of an era...
