This question is abt 10 sec longer than I had hoped, but if I hadn't addressed their usual answer to this question, we would be hearing the same arguments all over again.
"How can private insurance companies be a solution for American healthcare if their incentive is to deny coverage to maximize profits? Wouldn't it be irrelevant how low prices may drop with tax cuts or the end of govt. subsidies, since premise of the business is flawed and inhumane. How can you say that our govt. is too inefficient to implement universal coverage when we are the only nation among the top 25 industrialized countries without universal healthcare -- why can their govts do it and ours cannot? It seems as though you can only deliver two options: private healthcare, or a failed socialized healthcare like our veteran's hospitals -- however France's healthcare, is a single-payer universal healthcare system, is the #1 in the world. If we can find money to kill people, why can't we find money to save our own people? Finally, would state run universal healthcare be a good solution?"
