Speaker Nunez and Senator Perata on Health Care

California Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez (D-Los Angeles) and California Senate President pro Tem Don Perata (D-Oakland) announced on June 21, 2007 that their near-universal health care proposals, Assembly Bill 8 and Senate Bill 48 respectively, have been merged into a revised Assembly Bill 8. Following the announcement and an explanation of some changes to the language of the bills, the two fielded questions from the media.
